The primary challenge in this project was the task of rejuvenating an aging vessel, bringing it into the 21st century whilst preserving its classic charm as a gentleman’s boat. Striking the balance between modernisation and maintaining the boat’s heritage presented a unique set of challenges for the refurbishment team.
The Process
The Fino boat refurbishment was a meticulously planned and executed project that aimed to seamlessly blend modern amenities with classic elegance.
The first significant step involved a full-color change, both inside and out, using Awlgrip marine paints. The boat underwent a transformation, transitioning from its original appearance to an exquisite combination of charcoal metallic grey and metallic black. This change not only refreshed the boat but also gave it a contemporary and luxurious appeal.
To complement the exterior makeover, the interior upholstery was re-covered with marine-grade vinyl. This not only ensured durability but also added a touch of luxury and comfort.
One of the focal points of the project was the comprehensive audio upgrade. The team integrated state-of-the-art Fusion products, including a touchscreen controller and subwoofers, to create a cutting-edge entertainment system that brought modern sophistication to the boat’s interior. Additionally, a full LED light upgrade was implemented, enhancing the boat’s ambiance while offering energy efficiency and longevity.
To further elevate the boat’s interior, EVA teak flooring was installed throughout, providing a luxurious and practical finish. This addition enhanced the overall comfort and aesthetic appeal of the vessel.
